Inclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

  • All adult, paediatric and neonatal patients requiring medical care

Exclusion Criteria:

  • No exclusion criteria

Clinical Care

  • Initial patient Triage – ATS (Australasian Triage Scale)
  • Clerking
  • Streaming to most appropriate clinical area
  • Nursing & medical assessment
  • Basic First Aid and analgesia
  • Trauma calls
  • Stroke call
  • STEMI call

Wait Rooms:

  • Adult Wait Room
  • Children’s Wait Room

Triage Assessment Room (TAR): Adult

  • Assessment & early treatment for patients in the wait room

Triage Assessment Room (TAR): Children’s

  • Assessment and early treatment for children in the wait room

Adult Acute Treatment Room 2

  • More complex treatment including nitrous oxide administration. No plaster trap.

Behaviours Of Concern (BOC) Cubicle:

  • Assessment & stabilisation of patient with BOC

Emergency Management & Escalation

Lockdown:

  • Pager to security & ED NIC/ANUM
  • Panel in Adult Triage and Security Office

Security Response:

AV Offload Escalation

Radiation Meters:

  • Walk in Triage and Emergency Services Arrival

Emergency Response

  • Basic Life Support
  • Relocate patient to Resuscitation Area

BOC Call:

  • Treating medical & nursing team (green/yellow)
  • Security
