The Fast Track (FT) Consultant will be located on the first floor Emergency Department and have oversight of the Fast Track spaces and The Hub. The Consultant will provide leadership and oversight of the Fast Track space and the Hub through liaising with the multi-disciplinary staff- medical nursing and allied health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), Mental Health Clinicians and ACE.
Role Details:
- Supports Fast Track team and patients
- Liaises and supports allied health teams including nurse and physio practitioners
- Identifies suitable fast track patients from the waiting room and liaises with nurse in charge of fast track re admissions and disposition plans
- Supports the allied health teams in the Hub and provide medical consultation as required
