March 07, 2022

Last Thursday’s webinar concluded our focused look at Distraction and Calming Strategies and Tools for our final week of Mental Health and AOD Education Month.

We thank you for your engagement, and hope all our staff found some of their questions on this subject answered.

If You Missed It

Please click below to view the recorded webinar for Thursday March 3rd, which included a presentation from Angela Mazur, Chief Occupational Therapist, NorthWestern Mental Health, followed by Q & A.

Mental Health and AOD Education Month Concludes!

Thank you for your engagement with our five week program of promotion, education and training to support your care of patients who present to our Emergency Departments with mental health and/or AOD care needs.

You’ll find all the support resources and educational content from all five weeks on the The Mental Health and AOD Education and Support page on unitED.

Please reach out if you have questions related to patient care. The ED Education Team are always happy to help.

Staff Post-Survey

Education and Learning have developed this anonymousseven-question survey to understand how confident you feel in your mental health and AOD care skills and knowledge, following our Education Month program. This is a complement to the pre-survey.

We thank you for this feedback, which will be used to inform future training and support for ED staff.
