As soon as we got a call from CT to say that the patient had an aortic dissection, Sheri was on the phone to ARV and arranging transport. At the same time Sam was Hub and Spoke-ing the images across and recording a video of the pathology to send to the Vascular team. The patient was out of the department and on her way to the most appropriate destination within 3 hours of arrival due to their clinical acumen and amazing teamwork

I attended the department as a patient a little while back for something quite minor. It was a Saturday night. I can think of many places everyone would have rather been. The clerk at triage was Alex and he was so friendly and upbeat. We have crossed paths in the hallways since and every interaction with him is polite and friendly.
